Clinical boundaries

Healthcount is a behavioural maintenance companion for people using GLP-1 medicines. It is not a medical service.

Healthcount does not:

  • Prescribe medication
  • Diagnose conditions
  • Adjust doses
  • Replace clinical care

What Healthcount supports

Healthcount focuses on behaviour and awareness during the maintenance phase of GLP-1 treatment. It helps people stay on track with practical, low-burden support.

  • Helping users maintain routines around medication, activity, and nutrition
  • Reflection check-ins that help people notice small changes early
  • Recognising maintenance drift signals before they become bigger setbacks
  • Encouraging healthy behaviours with one next useful action at a time
  • Signposting users back to their clinician when needed

Safety and signposting

If a user reports issues such as severe side effects, medication concerns, or urgent symptoms, Healthcount does not attempt to interpret them clinically. Instead it:

  • Encourages the user to contact their clinician
  • Signposts appropriate services
  • Provides general safety guidance

Examples of signposting language used within the product:

“This looks like something to discuss with your prescriber or pharmacist.”

“If you're experiencing persistent side effects, speak to your clinician.”

“If you need personal guidance, your prescriber is the right person to ask.”

Healthcount is designed to support, not replace, the relationship between a person and their clinical team.

Medication decisions remain with clinicians

Healthcount does not advise on:

  • Dose adjustments
  • Medication switching
  • Stopping treatment
  • Managing complications

Users are always directed to their prescribing clinician for any medication-related decisions.

Employer programmes

When Healthcount is offered through an employer or insurer programme, clear boundaries remain in place:

  • Employers do not see individual health data
  • Employers cannot monitor or intervene in individual employee health behaviour
  • Reporting to employers is aggregated and de-identified
  • Participation is always voluntary

Healthcount does not replace clinical care. It doesn't prescribe, diagnose, or advise dose changes. It supports maintenance and signposts you to clinical support when needed.
