One honest checker that shows which doors are actually open to you, the NHS routes and the private route, side by side. No clinic sales pitch, no sign-up.
Some backgrounds use BMI thresholds 2.5 points lower, because health risks start at a lower BMI.

This is general information based on published NICE and NHS criteria, not medical advice or an eligibility decision. Criteria and NHS rollout change over time. Only a clinician can confirm whether a treatment is right for you. Last reviewed June 2026.
How NHS and private access actually works
There are really four routes to weight-loss treatment in the UK, and they have very different bars. Most of the checkers online are run by a single clinic and quietly steer you toward their own product. This one doesn't sell you anything. It just lays out where you stand.
NHS Mounjaro is arriving through GP services, but it's being phased in by need, so for now it reaches very few people. NHS Wegovy runs through specialist (Tier 3) services with long waits that vary by area. Bariatric surgery sits behind those same services. Private GLP-1 has a much lower bar and is the route most people actually qualify for today.
Whichever applies to you, the thing that makes the treatment work is the boring part: eating enough protein, keeping muscle, and tracking your weight, doses and food so you can see what's happening. That's what Healthcount is for, and a free account takes about a minute.
