Asda Online Doctor: an honest service profile

Who they are

Asda Online Doctor is run by Health Bridge Limited, which trades as ZAVA, under a contract with Asda. ZAVA runs the website and the online consultations, so when you order you're buying from Health Bridge Limited, and Asda's pharmacies dispense the medicine. Health Bridge Limited is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Asda Online Doctor's regulation page lists three Asda hub pharmacies that send out delivered orders: Trafford Park in Greater Manchester (9012976), Patchway in Bristol (1028656) and Burnden Park in Bolton (9013013). When we checked the GPhC register on 9 October 2026, all three were registered with no notices or conditions, but none had a published inspection report yet. Orders to areas the courier doesn't cover are dispensed by ZAVA's own pharmacy or a partner pharmacy instead. If you collect, you pick your order up from the Asda pharmacy you choose.

How the consultation works

You fill in a medical questionnaire, which Asda says takes 5 to 10 minutes, and one of its GMC-registered doctors decides whether treatment is safe and suitable. If it isn't, the doctor points you to an alternative or explains your next steps. For weight-management treatment the doctors may ask for photos of you to confirm your details, and approval can take up to 24 hours.

Delivery and support

Delivery: Most deliveries go by DPD with tracking. Some delivery options are free and faster ones can cost extra, depending on the item, and some items can't be left in a safe place, so someone may need to be in. You can also collect from an Asda pharmacy, and Asda says collection orders can be ready in as little as 4 hours after a doctor approves them.

Support: Messages through your patient account, which Asda says is the quickest way to get help, with replies within 48 working hours. There's also a Patient Care phone line, open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm, and you can call the hub pharmacy or your local Asda pharmacy about your medicine.

Good to know

• We couldn't load Asda Online Doctor's live website when we checked, so the service details here come from copies of its own pages archived between January and June 2026. The registration details come from the live GPhC register. Check Asda's site for anything that may have changed since.
• It treats patients in England, Scotland and Wales, but not Northern Ireland.
• In February 2026 the ASA upheld two rulings against Health Bridge Ltd over ads for its own ZAVA brand, finding that they promoted prescription-only medicines to the public. When we searched the ASA's rulings on 9 October 2026, we found none about ads under the Asda Online Doctor name.
• Asda Online Doctor is listed in our price comparison, which is unpaid editorial. Healthcount has no commercial relationship with Asda or ZAVA, and nothing on this page is paid for.
