With the Wegovy savings card, you can pay as little as $25 a month if your commercial insurance covers Wegovy (semaglutide). The card takes off up to $100 a month, so you pay $25 only if your copay is $125 or less. It's Novo Nordisk's Wegovy Savings Offer, on NovoCare.com, for the Wegovy pill, the pen and Wegovy HD. With no coverage or no insurance, it gets you Novo's self-pay prices: $149 to $299 a month for the pill, $349 for the pen ($199 for a new patient's first 2 fills) and $399 for Wegovy HD. On Medicare or another government plan, there's no $25 copay, but you can still pay the self-pay price. Prices checked October 6, 2026.
Search for a Wegovy coupon and you'll see a lot of offers. This guide is about the official one, from Novo Nordisk, the company that makes Wegovy (semaglutide). Novo calls it the Wegovy Savings Offer. Most people call it the savings card, and so do we. What it does for you depends mostly on your insurance.
What the Wegovy savings card is
NovoCare's savings page lists no fee for joining. You sign up by text or online, then take the card to your pharmacist. It covers all three forms of Wegovy:
- the Wegovy pill, where a month is 1 bottle of 30 tablets
- the Wegovy pen, where a month is 1 box of 4 pens
- Wegovy HD, the 7.2 mg pen
It does two jobs. If your commercial insurance covers Wegovy, it lowers your copay, to as little as $25 a month. If your plan doesn't cover Wegovy, or you have no insurance, it gets you Novo's self-pay prices, and you can use it at your own pharmacy, not just NovoCare Pharmacy. Our Wegovy pill guide covers the pill's doses and how to take it.
Who can get the $25 copay
The $25 copay is for people whose commercial (non-government) insurance covers Wegovy. Most plans through an employer count, and so do a few you might expect to count as government plans.

Who can get the Wegovy $25 copay
Commercial insurance that covers Wegovy
You can pay as little as $25 a month. The card takes off up to $100 a month.
Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB), ACA marketplace or state employee plan
These count as commercial for this card, so the $25 copay works if your plan covers Wegovy.
Medicare, Medigap, Medicaid, VA, DoD or TRICARE
These count as government insurance, so no $25 copay. Novo says you can still use the card to pay the self-pay price.
Commercial and government coverage at the same time
Novo counts you as having government insurance, so no $25 copay. The self-pay price is still open to you.
With no coverage or no insurance, there's no copay to lower. But with a valid prescription, you can use the card to pay the self-pay price. Whether Wegovy is right for you is your prescriber's call. Our GLP-1 eligibility checker walks through the BMI rules for Wegovy.
What you pay with the Wegovy coupon, with or without insurance
| Your situation | What you pay | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Commercial insurance that covers Wegovy | As little as $25 a month | The card takes off up to $100 a month |
| No coverage for Wegovy, or no insurance | The self-pay price (table below) | Needs a valid prescription. Doesn't count toward your deductible |
| Government insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid | The self-pay price, not the $25 copay | On Medicare Part D, the GLP-1 Bridge is $50 a month if you qualify |
The self-pay prices, through the savings card or NovoCare Pharmacy:
| Wegovy | Dose | Price a month |
|---|---|---|
| Pill | 1.5 mg | $149 |
| Pill | 4 mg | $199 |
| Pill | 9 mg or 25 mg | $299 |
| Pen | 0.25 mg to 2.4 mg | $349 |
| Pen, new patients | 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg, first 2 fills | $199 |
| Wegovy HD | 7.2 mg | $399 |
From NovoCare, read October 6, 2026. The new-patient price is for people new to the Wegovy Savings Offer or NovoCare Pharmacy, for 2 monthly fills, through December 31, 2026. On the pill, 1.5 mg, 4 mg and 9 mg are 30-day steps, and 25 mg is the maintenance dose.
For comparison, Wegovy's list price, the price before any discount, is $1,349.02 a month for the pill, the pen and Wegovy HD. Our Wegovy cost guide has every price by dose and what a year adds up to. Which dose you take is your prescriber's call. Our Wegovy dose chart shows every step.
The $100-a-month cap, in two examples
Novo's exact words: "Pay as little as $25, subject to a maximum savings of $100/month." So the card pays up to $100 of your copay each month.
Worked from Novo Nordisk's terms
Two copays, one $100 cap
What you pay each month with the savings card
Your plan's copay is $90
The card pays $65, so you pay $25. $90 minus $65 = $25.
Your plan's copay is $300
The card pays its $100 maximum, so you pay $200. $300 minus $100 = $200.
So the line falls at $125. If your copay is $125 or less, the card can bring it down to $25 ($125 minus $100 = $25). Above that, you pay your copay minus $100. Your plan can tell you what your copay is.

No insurance?
You can also pay the self-pay prices by going through NovoCare Pharmacy.
Self-pay money doesn't count toward your deductible
Say you have insurance, but your plan doesn't cover Wegovy, so you pay the self-pay price. NovoCare says that money "will not count toward your deductible or out-of-pocket requirements and cannot be submitted for reimbursement to your insurer." So $349 a month for the pen won't bring you any closer to your deductible or your out-of-pocket maximum.
Medicare and Medicaid
If you're on Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, VA or another government plan, you can't get the $25 copay. Novo says you can still use the card to pay the self-pay price, outside your insurance. Medicare also has its own program, the GLP-1 Bridge.
Medicare: the GLP-1 Bridge
The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge runs from July 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027. If you have Part D and qualify, you pay a flat $50 a month for Wegovy: the pill, the pen or Wegovy HD. To qualify, you need to be 18 or older, on Part D, prescribed Wegovy for weight management and not already getting a GLP-1 through your Part D plan. You also need one of these (your BMI when you started a GLP-1 counts):
- A BMI of 35 or more
- A BMI of 30 or more, with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, uncontrolled high blood pressure despite two medicines, or chronic kidney disease stage 3a or higher
- A BMI of 27 or more, with prediabetes, a past heart attack or stroke, or symptomatic peripheral artery disease
Your prescriber sends a request for approval, called a prior authorization, to one central processor. The $50 doesn't count toward your Part D deductible or your yearly out-of-pocket limit ($2,100 in 2026), and Extra Help doesn't apply to it.
If you take Wegovy for its approved heart use, or you have MASH (a type of fatty liver disease), type 2 diabetes or moderate-to-severe sleep apnea, you can't use the Bridge. You go through your normal Part D plan instead.
Medicare open enrollment runs October 15 to December 7, 2026. The Bridge sits outside Part D plans, so the $50 is the same whichever drug plan you pick. If your only Medicare coverage is a private fee-for-service plan, a cost plan or PACE, you don't qualify.
Medicaid
Medicaid coverage is state by state. As of January 2026, 13 state Medicaid programs covered GLP-1s for obesity, and several states have cut coverage since, according to KFF. Check with your state's program.
What could change
The pen's new-patient price, $199 for each of the first 2 monthly fills of 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg, runs through December 31, 2026. NovoCare says pricing will be updated after that.
The card itself can change, too. Novo Nordisk "reserves the right to modify or cancel this program at any time." Check the terms at WegovyTerms.com, or ask your pharmacist, before you count on a price.
One change is already planned. From January 1, 2027, Novo Nordisk cuts the list price of Wegovy (the 2.4 mg injection and the 25 mg pill) to $675 a month. Novo says this doesn't change its self-pay prices. It mainly helps insured people whose share is based on the list price, such as people with high deductibles or coinsurance. Every US GLP-1 price, side by side, is on our US GLP-1 price page.
